However organizer Clint Newell said plenty of “feel good” shows are on the bill for the 18th annual summer concert series. The lineup will kick off on a reggae note with Sly and Robbie and the Taxi Gang and follow with a jumble of polka folk rock and Hawaiian music throughout the summer. The season will close with a solid dose of the blues delivered by Susan Tedeschi. “It’s been an interesting ride and it’s come together really well” said Newell. “The economic forces were really at the top of the charts this year. “He added that some of the artists have lowered their prices and the concert committee slashed its budget by 45 percent.

Following a couple of songs crossing over in 1975 and into 1976 the editors at Time magazine decided to do a story on reggae.
